Polished decking and a relaxing in-ground spa make the perfect centrepieces for Perth suburban backyards. The owners of these spas (please scroll through images to see more) chose to build into the ground, allowing easy entry and exit from the spa for everyone as well as creating a relaxing atmosphere with tropical plants towering over the ground-level.
Both spas are previous Western Australian SPASA Awards of Excellence winners, the first winning a bronze and the second a silver award.
Both spas are the L.A. H.E.E.T model by L.A. Spas. This spa features 61 jets, 113 therapy ports and seats up to 6 people comfortably. A CD player and surround sound system with speakers in each corner faces inwards to ensure bathers can hear the music over the spa bubbles and jets. Each speaker is lined with LED lights that can be set to change rapidly between colours or set on just one depending the bather’s mood.
The WA owners of the first pictured spa have used timber decking from the back door, leading up a step to the gazebo that houses the in-ground spa. This spa features an upgrade from two waterfalls to three, allowing extra sounds of relaxation. Down lights are built into the gazebo facing both across the area and down toward the spa so the spa and the surrounding area can be used day or night. The single step leading up to the spa also has in-built lights facing back toward the house.
The lower decked area has two comfortable sun lounges, allowing the owners to relax among the tropical garden when they are not in the spa. The garden is filled with lush, green foliage to complete the tropical resort-like atmosphere.
The owners of the second featured spa have also gone with a tropical themed spa, incorporating small palms around the area. Two tranquil waterfalls give the area soothing sounds that benefit not only bathers, but anyone in the vicinity of the spa.
A gazebo with timber decking has been built up around the spa, making the area suitable for use any time of day. Spotlights have been built into the garden at the base of the palms and this, combined with the LED lights in the spa, make the area the perfect place for entertaining day or night!
